Many of the lodges and accommodations we partner with feature solar power and employ green energy solutions, with 75% of our partners using solar panels to reduce their carbon footprint. We also prioritize eco-friendly experiences in the trips we curate, such as hiking, biking, canoeing, and camping, allowing guests to enjoy Tanzania’s beauty while leaving only the faintest trace behind.
Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond the activities we offer. Through the Manyara Tree Planting Project, launched in 2020, we aim to contribute directly to the preservation of Tanzania’s ecosystems. Located on a 30-acre plot in the Manyara region, this project focuses on planting indigenous trees to help offset our carbon footprint and promote environmental balance. Since then, we expanded by acquiring an additional 18 acres near Arusha National Park, enabling us to plant thousands of trees, enriching the land and benefiting local wildlife.
Addressing social challenges is another core aspect of our mission. In Tanzania, youth unemployment is a significant issue, with many children lacking access to education and finding themselves living on the streets. In 2018, we founded the Organisation for Prompting Community Action, a project designed to provide vulnerable street children with life skills and opportunities in the hospitality industry. This initiative has already trained over 200 young people annually, empowering them with skills that will help them secure stable, meaningful employment.
